Yep he got screwed on that one. Adkins is a better player than Tihlee. Anybody who scores over 2000 points should be the player of the year. No question. Plus Tihlee is a punk with a bad attitude. Glad to see him gone.

The only team in the Region to make the Final Four didn't have one player on the first team..... I do agree soundly with the picks for POY and COY though. Adkins just wasn't the same player on a bum knee, Adkins healthy can give Anderson a run, bum knee it's all Anderson. Anderson is a better defensive player imo as well. Nice to see PV have two kids mentioned.

I'm not going to argue between Ti and AA for POY. I think AA is a class act and great player. Ti is also a very good player who, in his career, was surrounded by more talent. Maybe why he didn't score 2000 pts. He had well over 1000 though. The statement I am curious about is Ti being a punk with a bad attitude. Do you know him personally? Just curious as to your statements. I do know him and have never been responded to with anything but "Yes Sir" and No Sir" from him.

Brace yourself...

I had heard things about Tihlee having some bad attitudes at time, but in the limited time I had heard him talk or talk to others, he was pretty decent. Everybody has their bad times and maybe someone was around him one time when he did, or maybe they got to know him better. I'll go with the majority who speak fairly well of him and just mention that there are people who would throw the best person in the world under the bus due to jealousy, in this possible case, race, or other reasons.

I've talked to him several times and he's been a pretty damn nice guy. Off the court and on the court Tihlee are probably two different people, he's not a bad/mean guy on the court as in he doesn't do anything to purposely hurt anyone...may have an attitude, may be with the fans. If I was the region POY, I might be a little cocky too...hell I played like 1 minute game and I messed with the fans. Doesn't mean he's a punk or a bad person.

Exactly the point on Adkins, thats one of the reasons that he should be player of the year,,,"bum knee" and still leads his team and plays each night, scores over 2000 points and guess what, he will go to college and get an education.
